Benjamin Netanyahu has written several books on terrorism, security policy, and the Middle East. His first book, International Terrorism: Challenge and Response (1982), grew out of the proceedings of the 1979 Jerusalem Conference on Terrorism and collected articles from political leaders, scholars, and foreign policy experts. His follow-up, Terrorism: How the West Can Win (1986), argued for a more aggressive international stance against terrorist organizations.
A Durable Peace (1993) shifted focus to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Israel’s place among nations, while Fighting Terrorism (1995) traced the roots of both domestic and international terrorism. Decades later, Netanyahu published Bibi: My Story (2022), a memoir covering his upbringing, military service, and long career in Israeli politics.
Netanyahu’s books reflect his career-long focus on security issues. While his writing is primarily political in nature, the books have reached a wide general audience, particularly Fighting Terrorism and his memoir.
