Becca Fitzpatrick published her debut novel, Hush, Hush, in 2009, right in the middle of the YA paranormal romance boom that followed the Twilight phenomenon. The book introduced Nora Grey and Patch, a fallen angel with questionable motives, and it became a New York Times bestseller. Three sequels followed between 2010 and 2012, completing the saga.
After finishing the Hush, Hush series, Fitzpatrick moved into YA thrillers with Black Ice (2014), about two girls stranded in a cabin with dangerous strangers, and Dangerous Lies (2015), a witness protection story set in small-town Nebraska. She also contributed to the anthologies Kiss Me Deadly and All Good Things Come to an End during the Hush, Hush years. Her output has been concentrated in a relatively short window, with all thirteen of her publications appearing between 2009 and 2015.
