Ashton Lattimore is a Harvard College and Harvard Law School graduate who also studied at Columbia Journalism School. Before turning to fiction, she worked as a journalist with bylines in the Washington Post, Slate, CNN, and Essence, and served as editor-in-chief of Prism.

Her debut novel, All We Were Promised (2024), was named one of the best books of the year by the Washington Post, NPR, and She Reads Philadelphia.
