Anne Youngson is a British author who came to fiction writing later in life. Her debut novel Meet Me at the Museum (2018) tells the story of an unlikely correspondence between a Danish museum curator and an English farmer’s wife, and was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction.
Her second novel, The Narrowboat Summer (published under slightly different titles), follows three women who find unexpected companionship while navigating England’s canal system. Youngson’s books share a focus on characters finding new purpose and connection in the later stages of life.
