Alan McDermott writes action-driven fiction, with 19 books published between 2011 and 2025. The Tom Gray series was his starting point, a seven-book run that began with Gray Justice in 2011 and has entries spanning almost a decade. The titles all carry the “Gray” naming pattern, from Gray Resurrection through Gray Genesis, and the series follows its protagonist through escalating conflicts.

The Eva Driscoll series is McDermott’s other major ongoing work, with seven books so far starting from Run and Hide in 2018 and continuing through End of Times in 2025. Where the Tom Gray books center on one man’s fight, the Eva Driscoll titles lean into survival and conspiracy territory with names like Seek and Destroy and Fight to Survive. Between these two series, McDermott has maintained a regular publishing schedule with few long breaks.

The rest of the catalog includes a single Andrew Harvey novel (Trojan), an anthology contribution, and three standalone thrillers.
